Trolling the internet looking for the meaning of hashmarks(stripes on sleeves of uniform from the service) checking on a photo of my grandfather, and came across this unrelated article and thought I would share it with everyone -because it is such a clever idea. Your kids will love these.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    bag of frozen tater tots, or regular hash brown potatoes or shredded type
  • ·
    salt , pepper and garlic powder to taste
  • ·
    ketchup

How to Make Hash Browns in the Waffle Iron

Step-by-Step

  1. Spray your waffle iron generously with cooking spray.
    Place tater tots on waffle iron to cover each section. Close lid ,pressing down slowly.
  2. After 1 minute, open the iron and add tots to any empty spaces, as needed.
    Close lid and cook until crispy and golden brown -like waffles.
  3. Remove from waffle iron. Salt and season lightly. Serve with ketchup, if desired.Enjoy!
