Granola Bars

Perfect snack for my family and a little healthier and cheaper than store bought bars.

4 Tbsp
1/4 c
1/3 c
brown sugar
1 c
1 c
oats, quick cooking
1 c
puffed rice cereal
1/2 c
chocolate chips
1/2 c
peanut butter chips


1In a medium sauce pan melt butter, and honey over medium heat. Once the butter begins to melt add the brown sugar. Boil for about 2 minutes.
2In a seperate bowl place granola, rice krispies and about 1/4 of the chips. Fold in the melted butter mixture.
3Grease a cake pan with a little bit of olive oil, and then sprinkle with 1/2 of the chips.
4Now, pour the granola mixture over the top. Press down firmly until flattened, and then sprinkle the remaining chips over the top and press in. Allow to cool for atleast 15 minutes before cutting into bars.
