Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon vamilla
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 1/2 cups filler (uncooked oats, rice crispie cereal, or whatever items you want to add) sometimes i mix both oats and cereal.
  • 2 cups 12 oz. of chip morsels,( whatever flavor you like, chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch, cherry )

How To Make granola bars

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 Degrees.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, and baking powder, set aside.
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl, combine butter, sugars, and beat until creamy.
  • Step 4
    Add honey or molasses, vanilla extract, and egg and mix well.
  • Step 5
    Gradually add flour mixture, stir in oats and morsels.
  • Step 6
    Press into 9 x 13 greased pan. Bake at 350 Degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool Completely cut into 2 x 1 bars.
