Ingredients

  • 8 c
    old fashioned oats
  • 6 c
    nuts : 2 cups each of sliced almonds, pecans and walnuts chopped
  • 1 c
    sunflower seeds
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 4 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    water

How to Make Good for you "Granola"

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix oats, nuts, seeds in a large bowl
    Microwave for 5 minutes, sugar & water in a small bowl. remove from microwave, add vanilla and salt.
    Pour over nuts and oats; toss and mix well to coat.
  2. layer flat on a large cookie sheet with sides. I love the large pampered chef bar stone.. Bake 275 oven for 1 hour. Should be light brown and look crispy.
  3. Cool on a rack for 30 minutes. Break apart and store in airtight containers.
