This granola is so good you’ll never want “store bought” again. We use the nut-free version, but you can totally customize it to your taste. If you add chia or flaxseed wait to add them until your last 10 minute bake so the tiny seeds don’t burn. Enjoy!

Ingredients For “go to” granola

  • 6 c
    old fashioned rolled oats
  • 4 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1 c
    unsalted sunflower seeds
  • 1 c
    unsalted pumpkin seeds
  • 1 1/2 c
    sweetened flaked coconut
  • 3/4 c
    melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 3/4 c
    honey

How To Make “go to” granola

  • 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Prepare two large cookie sheets with parchment paper. Mix together the first six ingredients in a large bowl.
  • 2
Melt butter and add cinnamon, vanilla and honey and mix well.
  • 3
Add butter mixture to dry ingredients and mix, mix, mix.
  • 4
Spread mixture unto parchment paper evenly. It should be about an inch thick. Bake in 10 minute increments stirring well after each baking. It usually takes three-10 minute sessions. This can vary depending on the type of pan you use, so you have to keep a close eye on it so it doesn’t get too dark. After it’s cooled place in an airtight container. I don’t know how long it can keep because ours has never lasted longer than a week.
