chopped peach or apple
1/4 c
snipped pitted dates or whole raisins
1 tsp
1/4 tsp
ground cinnamon

How to Make Fruity Oatmeal


  • 1In a medium saucepan bring the water and salt to boiling.
  • 2Stir in oats, 3/4 cup of the peach, the dates, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  • 3Reduce heat.
  • 4Simmer, uncovered, for 3 minutes (for quick oats) or 5 minutes (for regular oats), stirring occasionally.
  • 5Remove from heat.
  • 6Cover and let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
  • 7Top with remaining 1/4 cup peach.
  • 8If desired, serve with fat-free milk.
