Here is an easy basic breakfast for you to make and impress your family. Wow your mom for mothers day or your dad for fathers day.

Ingredients For french toast-regular& stuffed

  • slices of a sturdy bread, usually white
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • cinnamon
  • 3 oz
    cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    jam of your choice
  • oil for the pan
  • optional powdered sugar

How To Make french toast-regular& stuffed

    FRENCH TOAST: Break the 2 eggs into a shallow bowl and beat them with a fork. Add the milk to it and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Heat up a skillet and add a tablespoon of oil to it, spreading it around. (A non-stick skillet would work well here, but is not essential.) Dip one slice of bread into the egg mixture, wait a few seconds, the turn it over and let it soak a few seconds more. Put immediately into the hot skillet and repeat with the other slice. Once it is browned, flip it over and brown the other side. Serve with butter and maple syrup.

    STUFFED FRENCH TOAST: While there are other ways to do this, the simplest way is the following: In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese and jam together with a fork. Lay a cooked piece of french toast onto the plate, spread with the jammy-cheese and top with another piece of french toast. Sprinkle with powdered sugar to make it look pretty. You could also top with a dollop of whipped cream and some toasted almonds and lets not forget berries! Serve with warmed maple syrup as well.
