How To Make energy bar by sallye
-
Step 1*If you use smooth peanut butter, add ½ cup chopped peanuts **You may substitute Rice Krispies for raisin bran (if so, add ½ cup raisins) ***You may use my recipe for Sugar Free Marshmallow Cream if you want to cut down on sugar.https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/dessert/other-dessert/sugar-free-marshmallow-cream.html

Step 2In a double boiler, melt peanut butter, butter and marshmallows until well blended stirring frequently to avoid sticking Be patient, this seems to take forever
-
Step 3Place all other ingredients in a large bowl and mix together
-
Step 4When peanut butter mixture is smooth (it will be sticky), pour over other ingredients and quickly mix well
-
Step 5Pour into greased serving dish 9x13 and cut into squares Allow to cool so they will set up. I'm sure these will last a week or more (although they never seem to last over a couple of days around here).
