Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons 100% whey protein (chocolate, vanilla, or any other)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 - large egg
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup low fat milk + 1/2 tsp white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup raisins

How To Make chocolate "muscle" muffins

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Mix all dry ingredients together.
  • Step 3
    In a separate bowl whisk all wet ingredients together.
  • Step 4
    Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour the wet ingredient mixture into the well. Mix together until just moistened. Stir in raisins.
  • Step 5
    Bake 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
