My adaptation of Dr. Maxmillian Bircher-Benner's muesli recipe. Modified from a recipe found on sbs.com. The obvious preference for me when I prepare muesli (which is often) is I skip the overnight soak. It's a textural preference. Feel free to choose your favorite seasonal fruit substitute. I enjoy muesli anytime: breakfast, quick snack, etc.

How to Make Birchermusli

Step-by-Step

  1. My quick and easy non-overnight version of MUESLI: Add the milk, yogurt or cottage cheese to a bowl. Stir in the honey. Top with the oats and fruit.
  2. Squeeze a little bit of lemon juice (or orange juice if you prefer) on the fruit. Finish with the nuts and/or seeds.
