Ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter at room temp (also butter for the pan)
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup mashed ripe banana (about 1) i use 2 moister
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
How To Make banana chocolate chip bars

Step 1set oven to 350 degrees, butter or spray 9 x13 baking pan.

Step 2In a bowl, beat butter an oil until well blended Add brown sugar and mix well. add vanilla and egg.

Step 3Add oatmeal, flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, choc. chips, banana and nuts and mix well.

Step 4Spread baater in pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool on rack. Makes about 24 bars.

Step 5Store in an airtight container.
