This is a healthy breakfast that I got from the American Institute for Cancer Research. It is a sweet, nutritious dish with dried fruit and nuts, baked into hearty oats. It is delicious enough to serve as a desert too!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons unsalted butter
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/4 cup dried apricots
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 3 tablespoons lightly packed brown sugar, divided
- 1/2 - golden delicious apple, peeled and cored
- 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts
How To Make baked oatmeal

Step 1Preheat the Oven to 350 Degrees

Step 2In a 2-Quart Microwaveable, Oven Proof Casserole, Heat milk and butter until milk steams, about 1-2 minutes. Mix in the salt and oats and set aside.

Step 3Chop apricots. Mix apricots, raisins, and 1 tablespoon of sugar into oats. Shred apple into the oats and mix well.

Step 4Bake oats uncovered, for 15 minutes. Stir and top with remaining sugar and nuts. Bake 15 minutes longer, or until oats are chewy. Divide among 4 bowls. Serve immediately.
