apple pie ricotta toast
This recipe gives an apple pie a healthy makeover! It replaces refined sugars, unhealthy fats, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream with nutritious syrupy apples on top of a whole grain toast covered with creamy (and protein-rich) ricotta cheese. My daughter loves to wake up to the sight of this apple pie on her breakfast plate. Both my husband and I love this quick, easy, and absolutely mouthwatering treat as well.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
This apple pie ricotta toast is a healthier option for your breakfast or snack lineup. The apples are cooked in unrefined sugars and apple pie spice that make the apples taste exactly like apple pie. Protein-packed ricotta cheese is brightened with a touch of lemon zest. It's a delicious sweet and savory combination when combined with the apples.
