    3/4 inch slices of frozen sara lee pound cake - thawed
  • 2
  • 1/4 c
    heavy cream or 2/3 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 1/4 c
    powdered suger

How to Make Amazing French Toast


  1. Whisk together eggs, cream OR milk, extracts and spices.
  2. Soak pound cake in mixture making sure all sides are saturated. Let sit 5 minutes.
  3. Melt butter in a large skillet over meduim-high heat. Transfer slices of pund cake to heat ed skillet and fry until golden, turning once.
  4. Remove from pan and dust with powdered suger.
