2 Biscuits with 1/4 of Gravy=2 Net Carbs
1/4 csalted butter, melted
1/3 ccoconut flour
1/4 tspbaking powder
1 1/4 cshredded chedder-jack cheese
1/2 lbbreakfast sausage
1/2 cchicken broth
1/3 cheavy cream
2 Tbspcream cheese
1/2 tspxanthan gum
1/4 tspblack pepper
How to Make Keto Southern Biscuits & Gravy-the Low Carb Way
- Preheat oven to 400. I use a silpat mat, or you can use parchment to line your baking pan or cooie sheet. Set aside.
- To make biscuits, combine all ingredients in a large bowl and stir by hand. Scoop 9 equal portions of dough onto prepared pan. I use a small cookie dough scoop.
- Bake 15-17 minutes while making sausage gravy.
- To make the sausage gravy, Cook sausage over med high heat in a skillet, breaking up pieces with a wooden spoon. Don't drain. Add the chicken broth, cream, cream cheese and xanthan gum. Stir and cook on medium until thickened. Add salt and pepper. Serve over warm split biscuits.
