Easy Homemade Turkey Sausage

Leery of purchasing store bought sausage, I was glad to run into this recipe. I love that I know what is in it.
Feel free to substitute one or more of the spices with something else you have in your pantry that you think would work well. I didn't have thyme, so I substituted Italian seasoning and I omitted marjoram and it still turned out great.

  • 1 lb
    ground turkey
  • 3 Tbsp
    dry minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp
    each: basil, thyme, sage & salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    each: cumin, marjoram, pepper, oregano, nutmeg & ginger
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 large

How to Make Easy Homemade Turkey Sausage


  1. Combine all ingredients until well incorporated.
  2. Chill for 1 hour.
  3. Form into patties and brown in butter or brown and break up to use as desired.
