It took some experimenting, but I finally come up with a tasty healthy way to replace sausage or bacon. Breakfast is a very important meal; but for those who have to watch sodium intake, it can be a difficult meal to prepare. The challenge is to have something flavorful without salt. Cereal and oatmeal gets boring day after day. Also, cooking breakfast takes time that we don't always want to give up in the morning. This recipe addresses these "problems" with breakfast. Just prepare ahead and microwave while you are getting ready for work. Yummy!

We really like these patties! They are a terrific "foundation" recipe that can be easily peppered with different seasonings and flavors as your mood dictates. Gotta love that kind of delicious versatility!
ground turkey or chicken (for this recipe i prefer turkey)
1/2 - 3/4
ground flax seed
fresh ground pepper (2-3 twists of the pepper mill)
blend of dried oregano, basil, marjoram, thyme, and garlic powder
