This recipe was in my Grandma's recipe file , she got it from a woman named Sue Buckman ( probably a friend). It sounds very delicious and healthy too.

    whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp
  • 4 c
    fine cut coconut
  • 1 c
  • 4 c
    rolled oats
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    wheat germ
  • 3/4 c
    corn meal
  • 3/4 c
    cream of wheat or rice ,
  • 1-1/2 c
    (unroasted ) sunflower seeds
  • ·
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 c
  • 1-1/2 c
    chopped nuts
  • 1-1/2 c

How to Make Granola Cold Cereal


  1. Preheat the oven to 375 °
  2. Mix the oil and peanut-butter together until well blended , add the nuts and blend ; blend the water with the oil mixture and pour over all the rest of the ingredients and mix well ; Breaking lumps with hands.
  3. Before putting the cereal in the oven ; turn the oven down to 200° and put the cereal in.
  4. Bake for 2 hours ; Stirring every 15 minutes ; until light brown .
  5. Store in glass jars until ready to use.
