granola cold cereal

This recipe was in my Grandma's recipe file , she got it from a woman named Sue Buckman ( probably a friend). It sounds very delicious and healthy too. **Recipe is untried by me**

Ingredients

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups fine cut coconut
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • 3/4 cup corn meal
  • 3/4 cup cream of wheat or rice ,
  • 1-1/2 cup (unroasted ) sunflower seeds

  • 1/2 cup peanut-butter
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1-1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1-1/2 cup water

How To Make granola cold cereal

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 375 °
  • Step 2
    Mix the oil and peanut-butter together until well blended , add the nuts and blend ; blend the water with the oil mixture and pour over all the rest of the ingredients and mix well ; Breaking lumps with hands.
  • Step 3
    Before putting the cereal in the oven ; turn the oven down to 200° and put the cereal in.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 2 hours ; Stirring every 15 minutes ; until light brown .
  • Step 5
    Store in glass jars until ready to use.
