I personally love grapefruit and Ruby Red is one of the best. I came across this recipe in a book that is put together by my church. Most in my family do not care for grapefruit at all, but this is one way, they really enjoy it. It's nice to have a different way to serve citrus for a change!

Ingredients

  • 4 - pink grapefruit
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh raspberries (or 1 cup of raspberry jam and 1/4 cup of water without the sugar)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

How To Make extra ruby red grapefruit

  • Step 1
Peel and section each grapefruit, saving all of the juice for another use. Place sections in a bowl and set aside.
  • Step 2
Heat the sugar, water and raspberries until sugar is dissolved (or heat the jam and water until all is dissolved and liquid).
  • Step 3
Remove from the heat, and puree in the blender. Strain. Pour strained juice over grapefruit. Chill and serve.
