Ingredients

  • 4 cups water or milk
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 1/4 cup sweetened dried cranberries or fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/4 cup almonds, slivered or chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup refrigerated eggnog
  • - a banana would be another great option to add to this oatmeal

How To Make eggnog steel cut oats with fruit and nuts

  • Step 1
    Steel cut oats and raisins
  • Step 2
    Cook your Steel cut oats for 25 minutes. Add in your cranberries and raisins while cooking oats along with butter.
  • Step 3
    Add your eggnog and almonds when finished cooking and season to taste with salt. Also taste to see if you want the brown sugar in too. Because of the eggnog it is already sweet, so add to your desired sweetness.
