The sauce for this recipe is so versatile. I used it both here and in my Butterscotch Pumpkin Monkey Bread from Scratch Recipe. Enjoy this breakfast treat!

Ingredients

  • - butterscotch pumpkin sauce (see recipe)
  • 1 cup irish oatmeal or scottish porridge
  • - enough water to cook oatmeal to your desired consistency
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon flax seeds (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar

How To Make butterscotch pumpkin oatmeal

  • Step 1

  • Step 2
    Boil oats. About 1 minute into boiling, add the rest of the ingredients, save the Sauce.
  • Step 3
    When oats are cooked through, ladle into a bowl and top with a spoonful or two of Butterscotch Pumpkin Sauce.
