berries and 'cream'
I was born and raised in the South. As such summer means berries and fruits of all kinds doused in rich sweet cream lavishly sprinkled with sugar. Fast forward 50 years type 2 diabetes and I are trying to rewrite my memories. I think you will be surprised how unsweetened and unflavored soy milk or almond milk will help. No lactose, much lower fat levels and lots of protein. They make a fabulous base for any flavor profile you love. try it you'll like it!

- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 2 tablespoons splenda
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/2 teaspoon good vanilla extract
