This is a great recipe from Litehouse apple cider from Sam's club, made with Honey Crisp Apples.

  • 1 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter
  • 1/2 c
    soft butter
  • 4 c
    toasted o's cereal( i used honey nut cheerios)
  • 1 c
    apple cider
  • 1/2 c
    chopped dried apples
  • 1 large
  • 1 c
    rolled oats, uncooked
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 c
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour

How to Make Apple Cider Breakfast Bars


  1. Heat oven to 375^. Boil 1 cup apple cider and 1/2 cup dried apples in a saucepan until reduced to 1/4 cup. Mix sugar, butter,peanut butter,cider, vanilla and egg in a large bowl.
    Stir in remaining ingredients except cereal. Gently stir in cereal. Pour into ungreased 9x13-inch buttered baking pan. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Cut into bars.
