hard "boiled" eggs in the oven

Not really a recipe, But I wanted to share this idea I found on line just a couple days ago. Very easy and to me the yolks turned out much creamier then the regular boiled eggs, after baking in the oven you will notice a few tiny brown specks on the shell they stay on the shell and do not affect the egg. I also notice a couple pin point spots of brown after peeling them which I guess is from the shell touching the sides of mini cupcake pan. Original recipe states to bake at 325-350 degrees depending on your oven. I cooked mine at 325 for 25 minutes and they were perfect.

Ingredients

  • - as many eggs as you want
  • - 1 mini muffin tin
  • - 1 bowl of ice water

How To Make hard "boiled" eggs in the oven

  • Place raw eggs in a mini muffin tin, since this was my first time I made only 6
    Step 1
Preheat oven to 325-350 degrees depending on your oven mine is old so I opted for 325 degrees. Place as many eggs as you want in a mini muffin tin
  • After baking you will notice these tiny brown specks on the shell, they stay on the shell after peeling and some disappear after being soaked in the ice water
    Step 2
    bake for 25-30 minutes
  • Place in Ice water as soon as you remove them from the oven to stop the cooking process
    Step 3
after you remove the eggs from the oven immediately place in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. I let mine sit for 10 minutes
  • Notice the small pin point sized brown spot, I left it in so you could see. It did not affect the egg taste at all
    Step 4
    Peel and enjoy!
