Delicious Quiche In 10 Minutes Or Less
So simple that you could practically do this blindfolded. A wonderful and fool-proof recipe for nights when you just aren't in the mood for making a heavy-hitting meal.
Great for weekend breakfasts, brunches, for kids first recipe or the beginner cook, yet tastes like you put in a lot of effort.
Serve with a salad and/or fruit and you're good to go.
1 1/2 cshredded cheddar, swiss or half and half
1/2 cchopped fully cooked ham or bacon
3/4 cmilk or half and half
2 Tbspgrated green pepper (large holes on your grater)
2 Tbspraw onion grated like the pepper (this eliminates pre-cooking these two)
19" frozen prepared pie shell, thawed (i use deep dish to prevent spills)
How to Make Delicious Quiche In 10 Minutes Or Less
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In medium bowl, toss shredded cheese with flour until well coated. Place cheese/flour mixture into pie shell.
- Spread ham or bacon evenly over cheese. Combine milk, eggs, salt, pepper, onion and green pepper. (I usually place the pie tin on a cookie sheet before pouring in the egg mixture... it's easier to carry to the oven.)
- Carefully pour the egg mixture into the pie tin. Cover edges of crust with foil and bake at 375 degrees until center is set (knife comes out clean) usually 40-45 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
