Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 bunches green onions
  • 1 - green chilis
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric, ground
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • pinch baking soda
  • - salt as required

How To Make green onion paratha

  • Step 1
    Rinse bunch of spring/green onion. drain them completely. chop them finely and keep aside
  • Step 2
    In a large skillet add 2tbsp oil,mustard seeds,1 tsp haldi/turmeric powder ,chopped spring/green onions,green chilies and salt ,cook for 10-15 minutes.In a bowl mix flour,oil,pinch of baking soda & salt. add cooked spring/green onion
  • Step 3
    Pour some water and knead to a smooth dough. make medium sized balls of the dough. roll the dough into medium sized rotis or rounds. On a tava or frying pan, cook green onion rotis or parathas with some oil or ghee till they are browned and cooked on both sides.
  • Step 4
    Serve hot green onion paratha with chutney,raita,curd or pickle
