Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 can(s)
    unsweetened applesauce (15 oz)
  • 1 bag(s)
    walnut pieces (6 oz)
  • 3 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground clove
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2
    eggs

How to Make Apple Walnut oat breakfast cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375

    Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, clove and vanilla. Mix well then add can of apple sauce.
  2. Fold in oats until evenly mixed. Fold in flour then walnut pieces. Add 1 cup dried apple pieces if desired.
  3. Drop by tablespoonfuls on baking sheets about 1" apart (they will not spread much)and bake 8-10 minuets.

    Cool on sheet two minuets before transferring to cooling racks.
