I make a large amt. then refrigerate. This is my favorite hot cereal breakfast. When I have other varieties of nuts or seeds available I add them. A fresh banana sliced and added pr. Bowl without cooking the banana is also good.

    brown rice
  • 5
    apples
  • 2
    pears
  • 12
    walnuts
  • 3 c
    water
  • 4 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 4 c
    almond soy milk
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • ·
    liberal amt of cinnamon. which speeds metabolism
  • Dash
    nutmeg

How to Make fruity Delish hot breakfast cereal

Step-by-Step

  1. heat to boiling 3 c. Water in med. pot. then add whole grain brown rice. Turn heat off not lifting lid at all during the steaming fluffing process of the rice.
  2. After at least an hr. Or so lift lid and fluff with fork.
  3. While your rice is fluffing peel and cut your fruit, and chop nuts.
  4. After rice is fluffy add sugar, and milk. While stirring add fruit, raisins and nuts.
  5. sprinkle liberally with cinnamon. Carefully use only a dash of nutmeg. (Optional) I add it for extra flavor and for it's nutritional value. But Not Much!
  6. Grab a bowl and serve.
