I make a large amt. then refrigerate. This is my favorite hot cereal breakfast. When I have other varieties of nuts or seeds available I add them. A fresh banana sliced and added pr. Bowl without cooking the banana is also good.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 5 - apples
  • 2 - pears
  • 12 - walnuts
  • 3 cups water
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 cups almond soy milk
  • 1 cup raisins
  • - liberal amt of cinnamon. which speeds metabolism
  • Dash - nutmeg

How To Make fruity delish hot breakfast cereal

  • Step 1
    heat to boiling 3 c. Water in med. pot. then add whole grain brown rice. Turn heat off not lifting lid at all during the steaming fluffing process of the rice.
  • Step 2
    After at least an hr. Or so lift lid and fluff with fork.
  • Step 3
    While your rice is fluffing peel and cut your fruit, and chop nuts.
  • Step 4
    After rice is fluffy add sugar, and milk. While stirring add fruit, raisins and nuts.
  • Step 5
    sprinkle liberally with cinnamon. Carefully use only a dash of nutmeg. (Optional) I add it for extra flavor and for it's nutritional value. But Not Much!
  • Step 6
    Grab a bowl and serve.
