Fresh mushrooms and buttery havarti cheese make this a delicious, quick and easy, gourmet-style breakfast or brunch entree.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 large cremini mushroom, sliced
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 ounces havarti cheese, diced small

How To Make mushroom & havarti omelette

  • Step 1
    In small nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Step 2
    Add sliced mushroom; saute 4-5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add salt to beaten egg, whisk with fork.
  • Step 4
    Pour egg over mushrooms in skillet and cook over medium heat, swirling gently, until almost set.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle diced havarti over top; fold in half or thirds.
  • Step 6
    Remove from heat and allow to remain in skillet for another 30 seconds.
  • Step 7
    Serve hot.
