Sandra's Breakfast Casserole
This was nice to make when the boys were little I could prepare it the night before and get it in the oven quickly in the morning while getting them ready for daycare and they left the house with a hearty breakfast to ward of the crankies.
8 sliceday old bread (without crusts)
2 lbfried link sausage
3/4 cgrated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 csauteed mushrooms
2 1/4 cmilk
3/4 tspdry mustard
1 can(s)cream of mushroom soup
·cornflakes and melted butter
How to Make Sandra's Breakfast Casserole
- Make layers of bread, sausage, cheese, and mushrooms. Combine eggs, milk and mustard; pour over layers. Refrigerate overnight.
- Before baking, spread the soup mixed with the milk over layers. Bake, uncovered, in a 9x13-inch pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
- Optional: cover with crushed cornflakes with melted butter before baking.
