joann's breakfast casserole

This was a recipe given to me many years ago, I lost it in Hurricane Katrina (with everything else), but thanks to internet have been able to recontact with old friends, and was able to get this great recipe again. I have this ready to bake in morning, while baking all I had to do was add fresh fruit salad extra bread/rolls an option. (This also makes a great breakfast dinner).

Ingredients

  • 12 slices very thin bread, crust removed, and buttered on one side
  • 3 cups milk can use ½ half and half
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 3-4 tablespoons dried chives
  • 4 - eggs beaten
  • 1 pound turkey sausage cooked and drained crumbled
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make joann's breakfast casserole

  • Step 1
    Place 6 slices bread butter side down in 9x13 casserole.
  • Step 2
    Mix eggs, milk, mustard and chives, set aside.
  • Step 3
    Top with half sausage, and egg mixture then ½ cheese
  • Step 4
    Repeat layers.
  • Step 5
    Cover and refrigate over night.
  • Step 6
    Bake in prheated 375* oven 30 min.
