Ham & Cheese Breakfast Bake

Susan Feliciano

I like finding a breakfast food that can be taken in the car and eaten without a mess.
I also had some leftover cans of crescent rolls from our family Thanksgiving dinner.
So this morning I combined those two elements, and came up with this dish.

  • 1 can(s)
    crescent rolls
  • 6-8 oz
    thin sliced deli ham
  • 1 1/2 c
    grated cheddar cheese
  • 4 large
  • 2/3 c
whole milk (or 1 small can evaporated milk)
  • 1/2 tsp
    each salt and pepper

How to Make Ham & Cheese Breakfast Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
Unroll crescent rolls and press them in the bottom and up the sides of a 9 x 9-inch baking pan, pressing the seams together and making them cover the pan evenly.
  2. Lay out slices of deli ham on top of crust, using enough ham to make a double layer. Sprinkle with the grated cheese.
Beat together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined. Pour carefully over cheese.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes until crust edges are browned and it puffs up, checking to be sure middle is done by testing with a thin-blade knife.
Allow to set at least 10 minutes before slicing to serve.
