Farmer's Breakfast Strata
1 lbsliced bacon, diced
2 ccooked ham, diced
1 smallonion, peeled and chopped
1 cdiced fresh cremini mushrooms
10 slicewhite bread, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 ccooked potato, diced into 1/2-inch cubes
3 cshredded cheddar cheese
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce
1 tspdry mustard
·salt and pepper, to taste
How to Make Farmer's Breakfast Strata
- In a skillet, over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp; add ham, onion and mushrooms. Cook and stir until onion is tender; drain.
- Coat a 13x9x2-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Layer half the bread cubes, potatoes and cheese. Top with all of the bacon mixture. Repeat layers of
bread, potatoes and cheese.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs; add milk, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper. Pour over all. Cover and chill overnight. Remove from refrigerate 30 minutes before baking.
- Preheat oven to 325F.
- Bake, uncovered at 325 degrees for 65-70 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let cool 10 minutes and cut into 12-16 squares to serve.
