For me, the secret to a good quiche is egg to cream ratio. Also the addition of dry mustard really adds a great flavor touch that will make folks rave. Make sure all of your fillings have as much liquid removed as possible for easy setting. Enjoy!

Ingredients For easy quiche base

  • 1
    refrigerated or frozen pie crust
  • 6
    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    cream
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1-2 pinch
    dry mustard
  • fillings of your choice
  • FILLING IDEAS
  • 1 c
    diced ham
  • 3/4 c
    thawed and well drained spinach
  • 1/4 c
    chopped green onions
  • 1 1/2 c
    cheese of your choice

How To Make easy quiche base

    Preheat oven to 375f degrees
  • 2
    Prep your pie crust. Unroll and place in sprayed pie dish if using refrigerated.

    In a large bowl whisk together eggs, cream, salt, pepper and dry mustard until well combined.

    In bottom of pie crust sprinkle 1C of cheese and other fillings evenly.
  • 5
    Pour over egg mixture. Top with remaining 1/2C cheese. Place pie pan on a baking sheet in case of overflow.

    Bake @350f for 35-40 minutes until center is set. Cool 5-10 minutes, slice and serve.

    We like to serve this for brunch with a nice fruit and kale salad or fresh fruit cups.
