I love breakfast casseroles but they all seem to be the same. So I decided to make one w/ my favorite maple sausages. This has got the best reviews from friends and family but the best raves? From all the ladies from my church..they are all tough cookies, lol

Ingredients

  • 16 - fully cooked maple flavored breakfast sausage links
  • 16 - baked mini croissants, i bought them at the local bakery, but you can use frozen or refrigerated
  • 6 - eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup real maple syrup, get the highest grade
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • - extra syrup for drizzling or you can sprinkle the top w/ powdered sugar

How To Make decadent maple sausage-croissant casserole

  • Step 1
    Spray a large casserole baking dish w/ cooking spray. Cut the sausage links into thirds. Cut the mini coisannts into fourths.
  • Step 2
    Arrange both the links and croissants in baking dish. In lg bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, milk, syrup and sugar. Pour mix over links and croissants. Cover and refrigerate over night.
  • Step 3
    The next morning, heat oven to 325. Remove cover from baking dish. Bake about 40-50minutes or until golden and puffy.
