We were introduced to this recipe by my husband's mom. She got this from a quilt group recipe book. She added veggies to this to use them up and the veggies are a great addition. She has used broccoli, asparagus or any other left over vegetable. It is great to fix the night before when you have a large crowd for the holidays and throw in the oven the next morning for fantastic warm very tasty breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 6
    eggs
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 1 lb
    sausage
  • 1/8 tsp
    sage
  • 1/8 tsp
    basil
  • 1/2 tsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1/2 c
    mushrooms
  • 1 c
    mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese
  • 5 slice
    bread dried and cubed
  • 1 c
    your choice of veggies

How to Make Cheesy Egg Breakfast Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown and drain sausage. Put in ungreased baking dish. Mix other ingredients in bowl. Pour the other ingredients over sausage. Refrigerate over night. Bake uncovered at 375° for 45 minutes.
  2. Enjoy!
