These rolls are tradition at our house during the holidays or special dinners. I found the original recipe in the mid 90's in a Woman's Day mag. These work great as a "monkey bread" either sweet or savory. Cut out dough as directed for sweet: toss in cinnamon sugar and add nuts, savory: sprinkle with sweet dried basil or other italian herbs sprinkle with parmesan or other cheese as you layer, add pine nuts for added flair layer and bake in fluted pan 30 mins @ 350 or until golden and baked through...Yummmy!!

Using 6 Tbs. melted butter lightly brush 1 side of each circle. Fold in half, buttered side in and place flat side down in baking pans. Brush tops of rolls with remaining butter. Cover pans with plastic wrap; let rise until double in size, about 1 1/2 hours. Preheat oven to 350. Bake until tops are brown, about 20 minutes. Makes about 5 dz rolls.
