TASTE OF HOME’S BANANA BREAD-Slimmed Down
2 cmashed ripe bananas (about 5 medium)
1 cunsweetened applesauce
1 1/3 call purpose flour
2/3 cwhole wheat flour
1 tspbaking soda
1/2 cchopped nuts, i use pacans, but walnuts are also good.
How to Make TASTE OF HOME’S BANANA BREAD-Slimmed Down
- In a mixing bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy. Stir in the bananas, applesauce and vanilla. Combine the flours, baking soda and salt; stir into banana mixture just until moistened. Add nuts.
- Pour into a loaf pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 325 degrees 60 to 75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
