Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine, melted
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2 - eggs, slightly beaten
How To Make sweet southern corn bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In your baking pan or skillet but 3 tablespoons butter and place in preheated oven.

Step 2In large bowl mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside

Step 3In medium bowl mix milk, melted butter, and eggs. Add to dry mixture and mix until no longer dry.

Step 4Remove baking pan from oven and carefully pour batter into baking pan. Return to oven and bake 35 to 40 minutes.
