Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 - egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup fat-free milk
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup snipped ried cherries
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 2 teaspoons lemon peel
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon peel
- 1-2 teaspoon lemon juice
How To Make sweet raisin-cherry bread w/ lemon glaze

Step 1Heat oven to 350 spray a loaf pan w/ cooking spray. In lg bowl, combine flours, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Make a well in center of flour mix. In another bowl, stir together egg, milk, oil and vanilla. Stir in dried cherries, raisins and 2 tsp lemon peel. Add egg mix to flour mis. Stir until just combined. Spoon into loaf pan, bake 1 hr, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. In small bowl, combine powdered sugar and 1 tsp lemon peel. Stir in enough lemon juice to become drizzling consistency. Drizzle over slightly cooled bread.
