This is sweet and VERY LIGHT. Don't recall where I got it but been using it a long time.

  • 2 c
    "pioneer" biscuit and baking mix or "bisquick"
  • 1/2 c
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 1 c
    margarine, melted and cooled
  • 1 c
    whole milk
  • 2
    eggs, beaten well

How to Make Sweet Cornbread


  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees. Grease 9 in square pan
  2. Melt margarine noted below so it will cool
  3. Combine biscuit mix, sugar and cornmeal well in bowl
  4. Stir cooled margarine and milk into mixture
  5. Add well-beaten eggs
  6. Pour into greased 9 inch square pan
  7. Bake at 350 until done - about 30-40 minutes
