This is sweet and VERY LIGHT. Don't recall where I got it but been using it a long time.

Ingredients

2 c
"pioneer" biscuit and baking mix or "bisquick"
1/2 c
sugar
3 Tbsp
cornmeal
1 c
margarine, melted and cooled
1 c
whole milk
2
eggs, beaten well

How to Make Sweet Cornbread

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven 350 degrees. Grease 9 in square pan
  • 2Melt margarine noted below so it will cool
  • 3Combine biscuit mix, sugar and cornmeal well in bowl
  • 4Stir cooled margarine and milk into mixture
  • 5Add well-beaten eggs
  • 6Pour into greased 9 inch square pan
  • 7Bake at 350 until done - about 30-40 minutes
