pumpkin dessert bread
It was cold here yesterday,so I was going through some of my Mothers old recipes, so found this one and on went the oven, made the house warm and smelled fantastic.

Makes Two Loaves
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups pumpkin
- 4 large eggs (beaten)
- 1 1/4 cups cooking oil (i used butter)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
How To Make pumpkin dessert bread

Step 1Sift together flour, baking soda,salt, and cinnamon. Place in a large bowl.

Step 2Make a well in the center and add sugar, pumpkin, beaten eggs, cooking oil, and nuts.

Step 3Stir carefully just enough to dampen all dry ingredients. Pour into 2 loaf pans 9x1/2x5x2. Bake one hour at 350 degrees.

Step 4let cool 5 minutes run butter knife around sides , turn out on wire racks.

Step 5When cool I drizzled with butter frosting, (It just looked like it needed it)
