3 call-purpose flour
1/2 tspbaking soda
1/3 ccanola oil
1 can(s)evaporated milk
2 ozpoppyseeds (approx. 2 tbs)
1 cnuts, chopped (optional)
How to Make Poppyseed Bread
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees, Grease and flour two 9 inch loaf pans.
In a small bowl, sift together flour, soda and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat sugar, oil and eggs til golden. Alternate adding dry ingredients with the milk. Stir til blended. Fold in poppy seeds.
(Add chopped nuts-walnuts, pecans, almonds-if desired)
- Pour into prepared loaf pans. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes until golden brown. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan and cool on a wire rack. Enjoy!
