Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 ounces poppyseeds (approx. 2 tbs)
- 1 cup nuts, chopped (optional)
How To Make poppyseed bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees, Grease and flour two 9 inch loaf pans. In a small bowl, sift together flour, soda and salt. Set aside.

Step 2In a large bowl, beat sugar, oil and eggs til golden. Alternate adding dry ingredients with the milk. Stir til blended. Fold in poppy seeds. (Add chopped nuts-walnuts, pecans, almonds-if desired)

Step 3Pour into prepared loaf pans. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes until golden brown. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan and cool on a wire rack. Enjoy!
