piernik--honey bread
This recipe is a semi sweet bread that taste wonderful. It has always been one of my favorites!

makes 4 loaves
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 4 - eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup honey
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
How To Make piernik--honey bread

Step 1In a large bowl ix the sugar, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and eggs. Stir in the milk and oil, and mix in baking soda.

Step 2Place honey in a small pot and bring to a boil, stir honey into bowl, mix in flour.

Step 3Fold in the raisins and walnuts, stir by hand with a sturdy spoon for 10 minutes. Allow dough to sit for 1 hour.

Step 4Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease 4 8 by 4 inch loaf pans

Step 5Fill each loaf pan with 2 inches of the batter.

Step 6Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Step 7Bread will be brown in color and will crack on top
