moist banana bread

This was my grandma's banana bread recipe. It makes a nice large moist loaf.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 - bananas, mashed
  • 3 tablespoons milk

How To Make moist banana bread

  • Step 1
    Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Then in medium bowl cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, banana pulp, milk and vanilla. Then add flour and nuts (if desired).
  • Step 2
    Bake in greased loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
