marbled banana bread
Banana bread is a staple in my home. Adding cocoa powder gives a chocolate twist without adding extra sugar.

Ingredients
- 3 - ripe bananas
- 6 tablespoons butter, room temp
- 2 - eggs
- 1/4 cup yogurt, plain
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup crushed toasted walnuts (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cinamon sugar (optional)
How To Make marbled banana bread

Step 1Set oven to 350 degrees. Spray a loaf pan with nonstick spray. Mix together the banana, butter, and yogurt. Add in the eggs and vanilla and blend for a minute.

Step 2In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar and baking soda. Add to the wet ingredients and mixed until blended, roughly a minute. scrap the sides and mix briefly. ** Note** Add crushed walnuts at this point.

Step 3Pour 1/2 to 3/4's of the batter into the loaf pan. add the cocoa powder to the remaining portion of batter and mix till incorporated.

Step 4Pour the remaining batter over the top of batter in the loaf pan. Using the spatula that you used to scrap your bowl, create the marbled look by swirling the batter. *** Note*** Liberally sprinkle cinnamon sugar

Step 5Bake for 55 minutes. Test the center with a toothpick by inserting it, if clean it is done. Enjoy!!
