A very delicious bread.Now since the mangoes are in season, I love to bake and cook with them.

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 3 large
  • 2 Tbsp
    buttermilk or cultured milk
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2 c
    chopped mangoes,not to ripe
  • 1/3 c
    chopped dry dates
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Mango Bread


  1. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla extract.Add vegetable oil.
  2. In another bowl mix the flour,baking soda,cinnamon and salt.Pour dry ingredients to the egg mixture.
  3. Fold in the mangoes and dates.Pour to 9 by 5 inch loaf pan.Preheat the oven to 350 F and bake 55-60 minutes.
