I love breads! I found this one in a recipe book at my mom's house. I really love the flavors in this bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup shredded all bran-cereal
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup orange juice (any kind)
  • 1 - egg
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

How To Make honey-orange bran bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Prepare a bread pan of your choice.I spray bread pan with "Baker's Joy" The recipe says to use a 1 pound coffee can and to grease it generously.
  • Step 2
    If you do decide to use the coffee can idea make sure to fold a piece of aluminum foil long enough to go around can with a generous overlap.
  • Step 3
    In small bowl mix flour, baking powder , baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cloves.
  • Step 4
    In large bowl soak bran cereal with honey and orange juice. Beat in egg and canola oil.
  • Step 5
    Add dry ingredients and stir only until moistened. Turn into prepared pan or if you use the can idea pour into the can.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
