Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - lemon (grated) save lemon will need
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 stick unsalted melted butter
- - juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- LEMON GLAZE
- - juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup sugar
How To Make glazed lemon bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degreeF. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9 inch loaf pan, dust with flour or use pam baking spray.

Step 2Whisk the flour,salt, sugar, lemon peel, and baking powder together in a large bowl, set aside.

Step 3In medium bowl beat eggs,with milk, butter,lemon juice and vanilla. Add egg mixture stir in the dry ingredients stir until just combine. Pour batter into the prepared pan.

Step 4Bake until the loaf is golden brown and a tooth pick inserted in the middle of bread comes out clean. at 50 minutes.(do not remove bread from pan)

Step 5Using a wooden skewer to poke holes numerous in hot bread piercing all the way to bottom, slowly drizzle hot glaze over bread.Let bread cool in pan on a wire rack until glaze is set about 5 minutes. Then remove from pan and let cool completely on rack.

Step 6For GLAZE: Combine lemon juice and sugar in a small sauce pan, stir over medium heat, until sugar is dissolved.
