1 Tbsp
baking powder
1/2 c
2 large
1 stick
unsalted melted butter
juice of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp
pure vanilla extract

How to Make Glazed Lemon Bread


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degreeF. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9 inch loaf pan, dust with flour or use pam baking spray.
  • 2Whisk the flour,salt, sugar, lemon peel, and baking powder together in a large bowl, set aside.
  • 3In medium bowl beat eggs,with milk, butter,lemon juice and vanilla. Add egg mixture stir in the dry ingredients stir until just combine. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  • 4Bake until the loaf is golden brown and a tooth pick inserted in the middle of bread comes out clean. at 50 minutes.(do not remove bread from pan)
  • 5Using a wooden skewer to poke holes numerous in hot bread piercing all the way to bottom, slowly drizzle hot glaze over bread.Let bread cool in pan on a wire rack until glaze is set about 5 minutes. Then remove from pan and let cool completely on rack.
  • 6For GLAZE: Combine lemon juice and sugar in a small sauce pan, stir over medium heat, until sugar is dissolved.
