  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 c
  • 1
    lemon (grated) save lemon will need
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
  • 2 large
  • 1 stick
    unsalted melted butter
  • ·
    juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract

  • ·
    juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 c

How to Make Glazed Lemon Bread


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degreeF. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9 inch loaf pan, dust with flour or use pam baking spray.
  2. Whisk the flour,salt, sugar, lemon peel, and baking powder together in a large bowl, set aside.
  3. In medium bowl beat eggs,with milk, butter,lemon juice and vanilla. Add egg mixture stir in the dry ingredients stir until just combine. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake until the loaf is golden brown and a tooth pick inserted in the middle of bread comes out clean. at 50 minutes.(do not remove bread from pan)
  5. Using a wooden skewer to poke holes numerous in hot bread piercing all the way to bottom, slowly drizzle hot glaze over bread.Let bread cool in pan on a wire rack until glaze is set about 5 minutes. Then remove from pan and let cool completely on rack.
  6. For GLAZE: Combine lemon juice and sugar in a small sauce pan, stir over medium heat, until sugar is dissolved.
