This makes a great coffee-cake like textured treat. So it's more cake than pie! I buy the colorful red and green baking tins and make up batches for gifts. Cell wrap, curling ribbon, voile'!!!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups cranberries, fresh, picked and washed
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped or pieces
- 1/2 cup flour, plain
- 1/2 cup flour, self-rising
- 2 - eggs, well beaten
- 3/4 cup butter or margerine, unsalted, melted
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
How To Make drema's "cranberry nut" sweet bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease or spray pie tin or plate. In medium-sized mixing bowl combine 1/2 cup of sugar, cranberries and chopped pecans. Mix thoroughly!

Step 2Pour this mixture in bottom of pie tin. Set aside. In large mixing bowl combine flours, 1 cup sugar, salt, well beaten eggs, melted butter and extract. Mix together well and pour over cranberry mixture.

Step 3Bake at 325 defrees F for 40 minutes. Enjoy!
